Here are the basic
rules for playing Caribbean Stud poker. Standard poker hand rankings
are used.
Rules of Protocol and EtiquetteIn an actual casino setting, the following rules apply to all players at the table:
Basic Rules of GameplayThese rules also apply to the Cyberstud version of Caribbean Stud poker that's available from Microgaming casinos: 1- Caribbean Stud poker is played at a blackjack like table that seats 7 players. 2- Each player must place an ante to be dealt a hand. 3- Each player and the dealer receive 5 cards. One of the dealer's cards is placed face up for the players to see. 4- Play is against each player vs. the dealer. Players do NOT play against each other. 5- Players can decide to "bet" or to "fold". 6- If the player bets, then he puts up an amount equal to the ante. 7- If the player folds, the ante is forfeited to the house. 8- The dealer then checks his cards to see if he qualifies. To qualify, the dealer's hand must be Ace King or higher. 9- If the dealer doesn't qualify, then all ante bets are paid off at 1 to 1, and the additional bets are returned to the player. Anyone who has folded doesn't receive this payoff. 10- If the dealer qualifies and has a better hand than the player, the ante and bet are given to the house. 11- If the dealer qualifies and has a worse hand than the player, then the player receives a payout according to the payout chart located on the Caribbean Stud odds page.
